Gazelle Twin’s astonishing fourth album, Black Dog (Invada Records, 2023) was conceived from memories of her childhood home, and the nightmare of a looming presence within. Moving from delicate tenderness to doom-driven power, the songs of Black Dog are reworked by Gazelle Twin with Max de Wardender for the London Contemporary Orchestra, conducted by Hugh Brunt. This is a special live event, exploring new depths of ghostly intensity.

To open the event experience music of raw beauty and ancient minimalism from composer and multi-instrumentalist Laura Cannell, whose new album Rituals of Hildegard Reimagined includes the broken down and reconstructed music of the 12th Century polymath Hildegard von Bingen.

As a unique bonus, attendees for the event will also be able to see the new British Library exhibition, Medieval Women: in their own words, included in the event ticket. Arrive early to meet these women from another time, through rare manuscripts, letters and records.
